Privacy
Nuclear Directory doesn't ask who you are. There are no accounts and no advertising trackers.
One cookie
The site sets a single session cookie that protects its forms against forged submissions. It holds no information about you, isn't used to count or follow visits, and ends when you close your browser.
Page views and searches
We count page views and searches without knowing who made them. We use PostHog in cookieless mode: nothing is stored in your browser, one visit isn't linked to the next, and page addresses are recorded without their query strings. Searches are counted by their words and how many results they found, so we can see what people look for and don't find.
PostHog's script is served from this site. Like any web service, PostHog receives standard request details with each page view, such as your IP address and browser. It's set to discard IP addresses, so it doesn't store them.
Corrections
When you report a correction, we keep what you type (your message and, if you add one, your email address) and the page it's about. We use your email only to reply about that correction. We don't store your IP address with it. To stop floods of reports, a scrambled form of your IP address is kept in the site's cache for ten minutes and then deleted.
Error reports
When a page fails, an error report goes to Sentry with the page address and the error. It leaves out cookies, form contents, query strings and anything that identifies you.
Hosting
The site runs on Render. Like any web host, Render keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for a limited time to run and secure the service. Fonts and scripts are served from this site, not from a third party.
